Educational-use disclaimer

PulseRN is a study tool for nursing students preparing for the NCLEX-RN® examination. Everything in this app — questions, rationales, flashcards, lab reference ranges, AI tutor explanations, and study plans — is educational exam-preparation content only. It is not medical advice, and it must never be used to guide the care of a real patient. Always follow your institution's policies, current clinical guidelines, and the direction of licensed providers in practice settings.

Reference ranges and practice standards vary by textbook, laboratory, and institution. Verify anything surprising against your course materials.

About the content

Practice items are written with a combination of human authorship and AI assistance, and each item is verified for clinical accuracy against current practice standards before it goes live. The clinical reviewer of record — a licensed registered nurse — has final authority over all published content and can correct or remove any item at any time. Items marked with ✨ were AI-assisted. If you find an error in any item, use the flag button — flagged items go straight to the reviewer's queue.

AI tutor explanations and weekly study plans are generated on demand and are not individually reviewed; treat them as study aids, not authoritative sources.

Privacy

We collect the minimum needed to run the service:

• Account data — your email address and authentication credentials, managed by our infrastructure provider Supabase.
• Study progress — your XP, streak, answer history, flashcard schedule, ability estimates, exam date, and study plan, stored against your account so it syncs across devices.
• Aggregate item statistics — how often each question is answered correctly, pooled across all users, with no per-user identity attached, used to calibrate question difficulty.
• Profile & contact data (optional) — your name and mobile number, if you choose to provide them. Text messages are sent only with your separate, express opt-in: study reminders and/or PulseRN offers, each its own checkbox. Consent is not a condition of purchase; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Messages are delivered through our SMS provider, Twilio. We never sell or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing.

Questions you send to the AI tutor are processed by third-party AI providers via our server; your study history and identity are not shared with them. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

To delete your account and all associated study data, contact sheldon@pulsern.app from the email on the account.

Terms of use

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure. Accounts are personal — don't share access.
• Content in PulseRN (including AI-assisted items) is provided "as is," without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• You may not scrape, resell, or redistribute the question bank or other content.
• We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time while working to preserve your study progress.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, PulseRN's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the preceding 12 months.
• We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced in the app.

Ownership of content

All questions, case studies, flashcards, readiness exams, explanations, and other study materials in PulseRN are the intellectual property of the owner of this app/site. They are licensed to you for personal study inside PulseRN only. Copying, screenshotting, recording, scraping, republishing, or otherwise using any material outside of this app/site — in whole or in part — is prohibited without the owner's explicit written consent. Violations may result in account termination and legal action.
