I practice in a hospital, and I built PulseRN around one question: how do people actually learn and remember under pressure? Retrieval practice, spaced repetition, adaptive practice, a Today round, and a weekly plan built around the exam date are the answer. It's built to get you ready to walk into the NCLEX confident.

How content is checked

Practice questions, case studies, flashcards, and readiness items are built around NCSBN's published test plan. Each one passes automated quality checks before it goes live. Keyed answers, distractors, rationales, and dosage math are part of those checks.

I own the product and can correct or remove any item. Report a problem under a question, and the report is saved for follow-up. Public study guides are a separate set: I approve each one against its sources, and the review record is bound to the exact page.

AI assists with drafting and on-demand tutoring.

Why I built it

I built PulseRN because I'm a working hospital RN, and I remember studying for the NCLEX between shifts. The tools were either a giant question bank or a lecture. Neither was built around how memory works under pressure.

PulseRN is for the nursing student studying between shifts, clinicals, and the rest of life. Every session starts with a question. What you miss comes back right before you'd forget it. Weak spots get the work until they're strengths.

Readiness is an estimate built from your work in PulseRN. It shows you what to practice next. No prep program can guarantee an exam result.

Verify a license

Registered Nurse licenses are public record. You can verify any RN license, including the one behind this app, through the nursing board of the state where the license is held, or via Nursys, the national licensure verification system operated by NCSBN.

Ready to take the NCLEX?

Registration is a two-step process: apply for licensure/eligibility with your state's Board of Nursing, then register and schedule your exam. The official resources are nclex.com (NCSBN's exam site, with the step-by-step process, candidate rules, and test-plan details) and Pearson VUE (registration, fees, and test-center scheduling).
